Olympic opening ceremony will recreate countryside with real animals | Sport | The Guardian.

Another example of  “losing the plot.”

I’m not anti The Olympics, in fact I wish I could get a reasonably priced ticket to watch just one event and I don’t disagree with the idea of recreating the countryside but how on earth can this 3 hour spectacle cost £27m.

That works out at £150,000 a minute

It’s just madness, total madness. Somebody somewhere, is making a fortune out of The London 2012 Olympics and it isn’t the taxpayer.
